Description

Collection only,

Company of Animals Boomer Ball is a virtually indestructible, hard plastic dog toy designed for ball-obsessed, high-energy breeds that typically destroy standard toys. Rather than being a traditional fetch or chew toy, it is engineered as a pursuit toy meant to be nudged, herded, and chased across the ground.

Key Features
  • Virtually Indestructible: Made from super-tough, high-density polyethylene, it is designed to prevent puncture marks or ripping, making it ideal for heavy chewers like Bull Terriers, Labradors, and German Shepherds.
  • Designed for Chasing, Not Carrying: The ball is purposely designed without handles or ridges so dogs cannot pick it up in their jaws, instead forcing them to push it with their nose and paws.
  • Enrichment Tool: Originally developed as an environmental therapy toy for zoo animals—including elephants, pigs, and polar bears—it provides high-level physical and mental stimulation to combat boredom.
  • Floats on Water: Because it is hollow and watertight, it floats easily, making it great for water-loving dogs to herd in swimming pools or ponds.
Size Guide & Fitting Instruction
It is critical to buy a size larger than your dog’s maximum jaw gape so they cannot bite or trap it in their mouth. It is available in two sizes:
  • 6-inch (approx. 15cm): £10.75  Ideal for medium breeds such as Border Collies, Cocker Spaniels, and Springer Spaniels.
  • 8-inch (approx. 20cm): £17.15  Built for large breeds including Boxers, Labradors, and Golden Retrievers.
Important Considerations
  • Noisy Play: Because it is made of hard, rigid plastic, note that it can be very loud when kicked around indoors or on outdoor paving stones. It is best suited for garden or grass use.
  • Not a Chew Toy: While it resists biting during chase, if a dog manages to pin it down and aggressively gnaw on it, the hard plastic can develop sharp, rough edges over time
