CJ London Globe Peanut Feeder  is a 21cm, sphere-shaped caged wild bird feeder specifically designed to protect smaller garden birds and deter squirrels and larger birds. Manufactured by CJ Wildlife (CJ Wildbird Foods Ltd), it combines a stylish visual appearance with practical, weather-resistant security features.

Key Features and Specifications
  • Design & Structure: It features an attractive globe-shaped outer cage made from strong, powder-coated alloy steel. Inside the sphere is a strong mesh centre designed to hold peanuts or standard-sized suet pellets.
  • Dimensions: It measures approximately 22 cm long x 22 cm wide x 20.5 cm high, with a cage diameter of roughly 21cm to 24cm.
  • Pest Resistance: The outer cage bars are strategically spaced to let small species like blue tits and robins inside to feed peacefully while preventing starlings, pigeons, and adult grey squirrels from raiding the food. (Note: Very small juvenile squirrels may occasionally squeeze through).
  • Weather Protection: The base of the feeder is equipped with built-in drainage holes. These holes allow rainwater to run out freely, keeping the peanuts dry and preventing them from becoming soggy or mouldy.
  • Easy Refilling: The top lid is hinged with a simple clasp mechanism, enabling quick and effortless refilling without needing to dismantle the whole frame.
  • Versatile Mounting: It comes with a strong curved metal loop handle so you can easily hang it from a tree branch, garden feeding station, or wall bracket.
Best Placement and Care Practices
  • Where to Hang: For maximum squirrel deterrence, hang the feeder away from fences, walls, or building ledges. This stops squirrels from jumping onto it from the side.
  • Maintenance: To prevent the spread of avian diseases and maintain proper garden hygiene, it is recommended to clean the feeder thoroughly every 2 months. The open, spherical design makes it easy to wipe down with no hard-to-reach internal corners.
