Baskerville Ultra Muzzle by the Company of Animals is a patented, humane basket-style dog muzzle designed by animal behaviourists to balance maximum public safety with canine welfare. Unlike traditional restrictive muzzles, its open basket design allows dogs to pant, drink water, and receive reward treats freely while wearing it. This makes it a popular tool in the UK for managing reactive dogs, visiting the vet or groomer, preventing scavenging, and traveling on public transport. 

• • Humane Basket Design: The framework keeps the dog’s jaw unrestricted so they can safely pant to cool down and self-soothe during stressful scenarios. 
  • Heat-Shapable Custom Fit: Made from Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR), the entire basket can be softened in hot water and molded by hand to perfectly match a dog’s specific snout width. It then locks its shape when cooled in cold water. 
  • Ultra-Secure Strapping: It features three points of connection to prevent removal. This includes a secure loop that attaches to the dog’s regular collar, an optional overhead safety strap, and a lockable neck strap clip.
  • Comfort-Focused Construction: The latest design has zero metalwork touching the dog’s face and includes soft neoprene padding along the straps to prevent chafing and irritation. 
  • Note: If your dog’s length and circumference measurements span two different sizes, choose the size based on their nose length measurement.

    Safety and Welfare Limitations
    • Bite Prevention Limits: Because the basket has wide holes to allow treats and panting, it is not 100% bite-proof against high-risk aggressive dogs who can still nip if small fingers or animal fur get pushed directly into the basket gaps. 
    • Supervision Required: It is suitable for extended use like daily dog walks, but dogs should never be left unattended while wearing it to prevent them from catching their claws in the basket or chewing the straps.
